Revolutionary Che Guevera originally planned on a career as a doctor, studying medicine at the University of Buenos Aires before joining Fidel Castro's movement in Mexico. Guevera played a major role in the Cuban revolution and eventually held a number of positions in the post-revolutionary government under Castro. In 1965 he left Cuba to pursue revolutionary activities in South America, but in 1967 was killed in Bolivia by government troops.
