1951 US Airforce Orders B-52 Bomber
The US airforce ordered production models of the B-52 from Boeing. The B-52 was set to replace the B-36. the B-52 which is still flying in 2003 has eight engines and can carry a payload of 50,000 pounds. The B-52 has a range of 15,000 miles. |
