May 19, will go down as the day the British monarchy changed. Prince Harry the second son of Prince Charles and grandson of Queen Elizabeth married the American Actress Meghan Markle. The wedding broke a number of taboos. Markle is biracial, a divorcee, and three years older than Harry. Markle who was a well-known TV actress having been a key actress on the successful TV show Suits. The wedding itself was unique, with Markle not being walked down the aisle, instead of being met near the altar by Prince Charles. The royal wedding itself included a 12-minute sermon by an African American minister. Prince Harry was a public advocate of making the royal family more accessible. He served in the British military including being deployed to Afghanistan in a combat role.
